"A small town in New Jersey has been put on the map today as a serial killer is on the run. Officials say that this man that you're seeing on the screen known as Rico Mendzoa is a wanted mass murder for the shooting that occurred in 2009 at an elementary school, tragically taking the lives of 23 students and 7 staff members. If you see this man it is important that you stay calm and immediately contact the police, do not approach the suspect or try and detain him."
The tv clicks off and the man behind me sighs. "Now we could do this the easy way... or we can do this the hard way."
As a school principal I've worked years teaching kids and finally earned the position I and every other staff member here wants. Years of teaching kids who are today in their 20's, and even some of their kids. Now I'm getting ready to launch myself at the man who was just shown on the screen. The man who is currently pointing a silver pistol at my chest. I was never able to have kids of my own, I was abused as a child and it affected my ovaries so bad that I physically cannot carry a fetus. It's safe to say after all these years, these kids have been my kids.

Author here, this story will be filled with trauma, heart-break, and gut wrenching grief. This is unlike most books I've written, where they were out of imagination maybe inspired by movies or other books, but this is inspired by things that are going on today in the real world. As always specifics will be completely made up (dates, names, numbers, places, etc.) but the events that happen throughout the book are entirely real world problems. I encourage readers like yourself to allow yourselves to feel the emotions the characters are going through, imagine what's happening throughout their eyes. If you have a story that you'd like to go into this book contact me and we can make it happen. As always when dealing with heavy topics please read at your own leisure, with your mental health in mind. Much love.
Xoxo, Author.
