Ariella Coyne has never known a world with open skies.

Born aboard a station called the Ark, she's spent her entire life in space. Imprisoned at just ten years old for a crime she didn't commit, she is forced to grow up as one of the Ark's youngest juvenile offenders. Now, a year later, she and the other ninety-nine delinquent criminals are being sent to the ground in a desperate experiment to see if Earth is survivable.

Shy and guarded, Ariella keeps to herself at first. Trust doesn't come easily when your own family has betrayed you. But slowly, she begins to open up, first to Jasper Jordan, the goggle-wearing optimist whose humor masks his fear and then to Bellamy Blake, the fierce stowaway who committed an unforgivable crime to protect his sister.

On the ground, there are no adults, no second chances, and no rules. Power struggles erupt. Loyalties fracture. But leadership disputes are the least of their problems, because the radiation-scarred planet they've been sent to reclaim isn't empty.

And Earth has been waiting for them.
