Intermission

After eight years of marriage, Joelle begins to question the life she thought was secure. Lucas starts coming home late, the faint scent of another woman's perfume clinging to his clothes. At first, she convinces herself it's nothing just after-parties, long nights on set, and the pressure of his career.

But when it keeps happening again and again doubt settles in. Especially when his new assistant enters the picture, all polite smiles and careful innocence. Joelle turns to her friends, hoping for clarity, but their advice feels too familiar, too safe. This time, she wants something different.

So she books a therapy appointment, needing someone neutral someone who can tell her what she can't admit to herself.

And during one session, the therapist asks quietly: "When did you start confusing trust with doubt?"
