About the universe, canon facts and interactions:
The reports were made based on a reality where Teyvat was attacked by a malevolent substance, Drakna, starting in Sumeru. You can see the main story of said world in the work "A Lost Soul?..." by KingTheStupidOne, especially in chapter 76 and the ones narrating the rest of the arc.
In this setting, Collei became a hero, managing to control her archon residue and vision to an extent that made her the strongest in Sumeru, to defend them against Drakna.
However, these are reports made by people who were not in the center of the infection, only at the edge of the storm.
This small story isn't necessarily canon. To either ALS? or my main book, Through Eyes of Sinners. But it can be.
The Knights of Favonius, worried about the expansion of Drakna, began forming alliances and defenses against a possible invasion.
Yet they always kept their eyes focused in front of them, never above.

In the mix of all of this, Amber finds herself slowly fading behind everyone. She needs power, no matter the cost.
It comes to her, as in a dream. A dream made of counterfeit gold.
