Mourning of the Broken Harmony

As daylight breaks over District 10, the solemn occasion of the 25th Annual Hunger Games reaping begins. Circumstances have undergone a shift this year, making it distinctly different from previous ones. In honor of President Snow's continued dedication to the Hunger Games, he has introduced a novel new tradition to the annual competition.
"Every 25 years, Penem shall hold a monumental Hunger Games to celebrate the games in such a way that it shall be unforgettable. Each Quarter Qell, we shall collect the game makers together and vote for a special edition for these games. This year, each district will vote for their own Male and Female tribute to participate in the 25th Annual Hunger Games".
In a turn of events that defied all expectations, Nyla Stallard and her lover, Marlon Langston, are both chosen to compete in these unique games alongside each other.
