All over the world, space stations picked up an intergalactic signal. This wasn't something out of the ordinary; or, it wouldn't have been if it was weaker. Everywhere, the world heard signals stronger than anything before.

The fall of an extraordinary phenomenon.

The collapse of a Black Hole.

Powerful waves of electromagnetic energy disrupted human life for hours. Signals were jammed, messages didn't go through, calls stopped, and all forms of communication were disrupted. To the scientists of the world, it was a wondrous occasion. To theorists, it was the beginning of the end. To most people, it was an inconvenience. To the Vatican? To the exorcists? It was an omen. And to the men of a temple bathed in blue flames? It was death.
