"Why is that so hard for you to understand?" Nasir questioned as he stepped closer, his gentle yet assertive gaze never leaving her face. "Or can you just not accept it? Let me know so I can move accordingly, Jordyn."
Her breath hitched at his last words, feeling like he'd just pushed her down. "I- I can't accept it, Nasir, I can't accept you."
"Why?" He furrowed his brows, his chest tightening at her admission.
"None of these things have ever happened to me until you showed up so accepting you means I have to accept everything you come with and that's fucking hard." She stated sternly, her tear-filled eyes watching his expression turn from one of confusion to one of hurt and maybe even anger. She didn't even believe her own words but she didn't know how else to get him to leave her alone.
"Aight." He didn't argue or try to convince her otherwise, he just picked up his phone and exited her apartment, the door shutting behind him and leaving her alone again.
