The Barrier had been a prison. But it had also been a shelter. Life beneath the mountain was harsh, cramped, yet it was peaceful and safe.
Only a few thousand monsters remain, scattered between Ebott, other possible barriers and wandering groups. For monsterkind, freedom is not the end of their story. It is the beginning of a far more difficult one.
And even for the laziest of them, it means finally getting up and doing something about it.
