Pen-Friend

Finn Mitchel just wanted to be left alone. Left alone to do his studies, left alone to do his artwork and just plain be left alone. No friends. No social life. No going out just to be a normal teenage boy. And he was perfectly okay with that.

But his guidance counselor thought otherwise.

When summer vacation came to an end and his senior year of high school finally started Mr. Jaurez thought it was time to throw his life completely upside down. By forcing him to participate in a new after school activity called Pen-Friend.

He said it would be good for him. Bring him out of his shell. Face the traumatic incident that happened to him in his freshman year. And to finally let go of the one person that had been his everything and was now nothing.

Pen-Friend was just a system to allow kids to anonymously get things off their chests. Secret messages back and forth that allowed anyone to set free their emotions without ever knowing who the other person was on the other side of the screen. And that was exactly what Finn liked.

But as time passed getting to know his newfound friend, he couldn't help himself wondering just who exactly was on the other end of their conversations. Meeting new friends and facing old ones, Finn needed to come to terms that maybe some regrets and heartaches needed a closer look.

And maybe, just maybe, his Pen-Friend was far more special that he first realized.
