The story takes place in a room full of people, unfortunately called school. A girl named Adelaide joins a school full of young, new students as she starts out as a Junior in high school.
She makes friends along the way, learns to love herself before she loves other people and finds herself more familiar with who she is.
Adelaide has suffered from self-harm, suicidal thoughts and fear of her own body as she entered her teenage years, growing a grudging body dysmorphia and depression.
Along the ways of moving from France to California, stating her fathers "new company" and her step-mother her father married only a few months after her real mom died of a stroke, she grew quiet, only focused on things she wanted to focus on and tried hard.

While waiting for their series to begin filming and eventually be released, I wanted to imagine what their story might feel like - to give fans a small taste of the emotions, tension, and romance we might see on screen. This adaptation follows the same general premise and conflicts of the original novel, but it is written purely from my imagination. The characters keep the names Lena and Miu instead of the original names from the novel.
