Ellen Clayton is a girl on a mission: she wants to make everyone happy. She knows, of course this will be more than just a simple five step plan, but she is more than willing to take up the challenge. She's always been a shy girl and she's made some mistakes in the past, but she's looking at her family's move and her enrollment in a fancy boarding school as a chance to start afresh. 
She heads into the new school year pumped and ready to begin her challenge, but her meeting with a particularly grumpy student throws her for a loop. However, Ellen is nowhere near ready to give up. After all- what are burritos, sassy cousins, and deadly marshmallows to a determined 15 year old?All Rights Reserved

"Then you should be thanking me," That stupid smirk was back, and prominate through his handsome features. "And why is that," I asked quizzically. "Because crazy people live longer. Your welcome," I laughed harder than I should have to this before putting my butt on top of the railing and sliding down. Alex Rider is a spoiled arrogant jerk who is known to show up to school late and never try in class. He parents are finally done with having to pay to get him out of trying in anything. They decide to get him a tutor, but what they don't realize is they are setting their son up with the angel he's been wishing for. His tutor is a polite, sweet girl who doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Everyone is her friend, but she doesn't go out much. Just like everyone in the world, she has a chip on her shoulder that she's been trying the shake off since freshman year. She believes she can break this cocky teenager, but will she break more than she's willing to handle?

I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

surprise surprise, the fifth street apartment corin bought cause it was cheap had a power outage, and she needs somewhere to go, and her only friend adjacent person with space available is her cool terminally fed up coworker ellen! she asks to stay for four nights via an excessive text message, and the two spend their long weekend together... HCs: to make this plot, like, happen, corin needed to be old enough to have a place, so corin is 19 and ellen is 20. also boosted both character's heights: corin is now 5'1 and ellen is "like six or seven inches taller". ellen is also trans now. why? i saw shark imagery and thought blahaj. ellen also has gills and a heightened sense of smell (thanks hadalogic ^^) and has gotten over her reservations with working out and now has a gym membership (works out + abs + piercings ok i had a vision). also corin and ellen's personalities in general are a little different, mostly cause i had ideas for them i really wanted to write about this is a repost of the same fanfic from ao3, just in case anyone recognizes it haha
