Two assassins. One goal. One target.

Lexia's work for the notorious ring of assassins operating unnamed and unseen in New York has always been impeccable. Precise, creative, and brutal are words often circulating around her. Trained since childhood, she's seen and done things most people would kill themselves over. Getting a mission to assassinate a rising drug lord is nothing out of the ordinary. Not yet.

James is nineteen and has taken more lives than he's celebrated birthdays. Working for an organization that prides in statements and instilling fear has its perks, including a salary large enough to fund him for life. Getting out has never been on his mind, though. Giving up was a trait conditioned to fade years ago and now he's unstoppable. When given a new mission, he takes it with the expectation of gaining another body to add to his list. Fate has other plans.

Lexia and James are on a collision course set to destroy them both. Will they compromise their values and divert before it's too late, or remain on the path promising more than one death?
