You and Obito both grew up together, childhood best friends. You knew him before the tragedies of loss and war hardened him, and in all this time you alone were the only one who ever believed in him. After the incident happening at the bridge, and Obitos death, you were overtaken by grief and loss. Everyone believed he had died... but you always had hope. Years have passed and you encounter Tobi, except something about his seems a bit too familiar. The closer the two of you became, it was only a matter of time before you realized it was Obito Uchiha all along. But he was much different now... despite that, you never tried to "fix" him. Instead you choose to stand by him through all things, even if that meant your death.
