Everything was perfectly normal. The sun, the stars at night, everything. Yep. Just plain ol' boring. And it was good. Until one day everything changed. A huge asteroid came crashing down into Earth in North Africa with such a force to push Earth's orbit closer to the sun causing ice caps to melt and the temperature to rise. But mother nature and the galaxy was apparently not enough. Just when things start to look better, they all come crashing down when a new, unknown disease comes in. And this is no normal disease, it is man made. Designed by man, for man, and to kill man. Mark, Max, and Jay eventually meet under extreme circumstances and join together to face the unknown. Despite never knowing anything about each other, they soon gain trust and would die for one another. Will they survive? Will anyone survive? The chances are small, especially for adolescents.

They fight against the violent, erratic mutants with what little sway they have left, struggling to keep humanity from falling to pieces. the mutants, on the other hand, are trying to stop the Purebloods and get them to embrace their mutant side so everyone can live together and cease fighting.
