Survivor's Sentence

Set in a brutal, post-apocalyptic future where the remnants of humanity are managed by The Vestige, a cold and hyper-efficient corporate faction. The sky is a toxic purple, the food is a grey sludge, and "workers" are treated as disposable biological tools in massive livestock sectors. The narrative follows Fen Willard, a man who has spent six years as a nameless worker at "Fence 4," injecting genetically altered beasts with growth serum. Fen is a ghost of his former self, his memories of the world before the ruins of Sector RW1 suppressed by "medicine" and the crushing weight of routine. Fen is suddenly pulled from the mud and thrust into the upper echelons of The Vestige. Director Vance, a man of polished cruelty, offers Fen a choice: remain a worker and rot, or join the Vanguard Aegis-the elite, armored Special Forces that maintain order through fear.
Fen must navigate a world of sleek black steel and golden lies. He accepts the offer not out of loyalty, but for survival and the hope of finding his missing sister. As he moves from the open wastelands to a secret fortress carved into a mountain, he realizes that the armor he now wears is the same armor worn by the men who destroyed his home.
