This is the story of The Maze Runner from Newt's point of view.
So...
SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!
With that out of the way, I can say that it follows Newt's perspective from the moment he wakes up in the box to his fall from the Maze, from his meeting of Thomas to his first steps outside the Maze.
