Mary Sue (and Steve) went on an adventure in the woods behind her HORRIBLY ABUSIVE foster home and stumble upon an artifact that transports them into the middle of a burning fantasy village, forcing them on a quest to save the world if they want to return home

Akio Takahashi is a minimum wage worker and high school dropout who lives in and out of temporary offices at the train station ever since his parents mysteriously disappeared one day. His only gaol in life was to get a girlfriend and die being known as anything but a looser, he never did achieve that goal...in this life at least.
