Things get weirder yet when just few nights later, Faline is attacked by an other-worldly shadow creature and saved by an over-sized black cat. According to some locals who believe her wild tale, she was saved by the infamous Black Beast of Exmoor.
As she tries to find out more about the elusive beast, she discovers there is a dark magic behind the legend and it is more than just local folklore. And what's more, her past has a big part of it, and Faline finds that she may be the answer to the age old war of good and evil, of light versus darkness.
