It couldn't be that. Shane couldn't be like that. He was just tired. He didn't have to remember Marleau. He wasn't his teammate or friend. But Shane just didn't forget stuff like that. That's not who he was. He remembered things from years ago that Ilya had no recollection of. Okay, they were hockey players; blunt force trauma to the head was basically guaranteed. Ilya's wonky nose was the product of several blows to the head. But that didn't explain why Shane was like this. So...lost?
