A Stranger Things modern AU fanfiction, focusing on El Hopper, Max Mayfield, Will Byers and Mike Wheeler.

Max Mayfield and Mike Wheeler got a summer job at Scoops Ahoy, an ice cream shop cramped into the crowds and bright lights of Starcourt Mall. Both scoopers have their shit, struggling with the weight of secrets and past traumas. But they have each other in their own annoying, frustrating, sibling bonded way.

Meanwhile, El Hopper and Will Byers are attached at the hip, platonic soulmates if you will. El is constantly finding something new she loves, whether that be fashion or scrapbooking with Will, finding new music or going shopping. Maybe even a crush. Will, on the other hand, is going through a long, 'inspiring' journey of self love and acceptance. Which also happens to be pretty boring if he's honest.

But even through their struggles, arguments and sometimes that feeling that's a little too close to loneliness, the four of them will always have each other.
