Shattered Fate

Anastasia Petrova, at eighteen years old, had no idea what she was - no idea where she came from or why she could do what she did. She only knew one thing: she was dangerous.

On the run her whole life, she knew no one except the four dark walls that had always enclosed her. That was the only thing she remembered... the walls, the pain, the torture, the Russian voices of the scientists.

Now, she was finally free. Sunshine hit her face for the first time in years, and confusion wrapped around her like a vice. She didn't know how it had happened - one moment she was surrounded by those four familiar walls, and the next she was in the middle of a forest.

Freedom didn't last long. Six months later, she was captured by a terrorist group that called themselves the Ten Rings. They had heard what she could do, and they didn't waste a second searching for her, eager to use her as their weapon. She traded the familiar four walls for an unfamiliar cave. She thought this was it - what she was destined for. Being used. She would never get out. There was no hope.

At least, that's what she thought until they brought another man into the cave - a dying one. Tony Stark. She recognized him from the Stark weapons scattered all around the camp.

Little did she know that the dying man in front of her would become like a father, that he would help her grow, and that he would introduce her to a new family.
