The boy hadn't said a single word.
He was just staring at him.
Jungwon's smile slowly disappeared.
There was something unsettling about his gaze. Not frightening exactly. Just...intense.
Jungwon swallowed.
𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?
The four boys eventually turned to leave. Jungwon thought the strange encounter was finally over, but just before disappearing around the corner, the silent boy suddenly looked back.
Their eyes met. For a brief moment, neither of them moved.
Then the boy smirked and walked away.
Jungwon stood there, frozen.

Jungwon really regrets pulling that stunt on his very first day at Decelis Institution. If he'd known that standing up for a stranger would catch 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗶'𝘀 attention, he would've definitely minded his own business.
And as if that wasn't bad enough, his luck gets even worse when he that out of all the students in the academy, he ends up being roommates with him.
Heli is determined to prove that he's the best and that Jungwon will always be second. But Jungwon isn't about to let him have the victory that easily.
What begins as a simple rivalry quickly turns into an endless battle of grades, challenges, sarcastic remarks, petty competitions, and attempts to outdo each other as they keep chasing for the top place, constantly pushing each other between victory and defeat, always somewhere 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱.
But somewhere between the arguments, the competition, the stolen glances, and the moments neither of them wants to admit matter, something begins to change.
The line between rivalry and something more starts becoming dangerously thin.
Neither Heli nor Jungwon expected their greatest competition to become the person they couldn't stop thinking about. And certainly not the person they would eventually fall for.
