Baldric Academy. Another fleeting attempt to distract me from my terrible misfortune. Yet a school of elementals and magic is bound to excite the dread inside; it may consume me faster. But I know better than to be an optimist about things. And two thorns are stabbing into my sides that I can't ignore:

One, I am negatively positive that the school was built to remind the middle and lower classes about how humiliatingly poor and unpretentiously ordinary we bootlickers are compared to the much more marvelous and pristine soul-sucking upper-class.

I mean...

THE STUDENTS ARE WEARING GOLD BRACELTS AND ACCESSORIES, and (not the fake kind that turns your skin green after one wear). It's the kind that blinds you when the sun hits it just right.

I'm so jealous!

And two, is everyone here a model?

Gosh, what is their skin care routine?! I can smell strawberries from here. Is that their shampoo or body wash?

No.

I need to focus. My sister needs me. This school can suck it!
