Romance
A choice of two seconds. A life that begins afterwards. On a regular summer evening, at a fence on a barbecue, Rebekah de Wit turns around and looks at James. Two seconds. No longer. But it's the two seconds that change everything. Rebekah is twenty seven. James is forty-five, married, her father's best friend. What starts is not planned, not simple, and not without price. But it is undeniably real - and that is what makes it so difficult to ignore. Every Morning Again is the story of two people who make a choice that changes lives - their own, but also those of those around them. An ex-wife who has to find her own way. A father who has to learn to look back at his daughter's husband. A brother who rebuilds his life. Friendships that last and friendships that break. And in the midst of all that: Rebekah and James, who learn what it means to love when the price is visible. They discover that guilt and joy can coexist. Who build a home together, raise a daughter, and choose what they have every day - not because it's easy, but because it's real. This is not a story about a perfect love. It's a story about true love - full of beauty, full of scars, and full of the conviction that life will grow if you have the courage to choose.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
