Sonic, the fastest thing alive, and Shadow, the ultimate life form, were just... Too inseparable. They didn't know how and why either since they got together but they weren't complaining.
Everything was too perfect.
They would never leave each other's sides, and promise to face anything together.

until a sudden catastrophe caused the death of Sonic, where his body was never seen again. This destroys Shadow emotionally, when he thought he finally grasp someone who loves him, just got killed like before. Over a year later, Shadow became into shit, still dealing with grief, the whole world was dirty, gloomy, with all of the color sucked out. Shadow doing anything to feel the warmth of his beloved husband again, but it never worked and can never replaced what was real. With Rouge and Omega and some others coming to his side of need, Shadow continues to deal with stages of grief, depression, struggles, insanity, and mostly memories of his beloved hedgehog.
