Hawkins, Indiana was a graveyard of secrets long before Will Byers went missing. Everyone knows the Byers family is a magnet for bad luck. But while the town scours the woods for his little brother, Y/N Byers is dealing with a disappearance of his own: his grip on reality.

The night the Gate ripped open, something in Y/N's head didn't just break-it tuned in. It started with a migraine that felt like a hot needle in his eye, but it ended with a screaming, white-noise "static" that hasn't stopped since. He's no longer just the nerd with the soldering iron or the guy who draws the D&D maps; he's a biological radio receiver for a dimension that shouldn't exist.

As Joyce hangs Christmas lights and Jonathan retreats into his camera, Y/N is forced to navigate a terrifying new landscape. He's picking up the scattered thoughts of a girl in a hospital gown, sensing the rhythmic, wet thrum of a predator stalking the woods, and trying to hide the fact that every time he gets angry, the electronics around him don't just flicker-they bleed.
Bound to the mysterious 'Eleven' by a psychic tether he never asked for, Y/N has to figure out how to "hack" the signal of the Upside Down before his own brain short-circuits. Because in a town where monsters are real, the only thing more dangerous than the dark is being the one who can hear it breathing.
