Freya Brown, a determined girl from England, moves to France to study fashion, focusing entirely on school and her ambitions. At the airport, she accidentally bumps into a tall Spanish guy named Mateo López; after a quick apology and a sharp remark from him, she walks away, annoyed and unimpressed. When she arrives at her new house and realizes the movers haven't delivered her belongings, she's left with only the clothes in her suitcase for her first day. The next morning, wearing her uniform and headphones, she walks into a familiar tall figure at school-it's Mateo again. Surrounded by people, he casually asks if she knows who he is, and she soon learns he's a famous hockey player who just joined a new team. Assuming he's full of himself, Freya instead develops a crush on Gabriel, a sweet and kind boy who seems like her complete opposite-though she hates that he's close friends with Mateo. As the boys spend time together playing hockey, Freya slowly begins to see a different side of Mateo and finds herself unexpectedly drawn to him. Everything changes at a party when she catches Gabriel kissing another girl. Heartbroken, she runs outside and ends up confiding in Mateo, admitting the truth because she has no one else to talk to. He gently pulls her back inside, and in a bold moment, they kiss in front of everyone. Gabriel, furious, tries to punch Mateo but is knocked out in one hit. In that moment, Freya realizes Mateo isn't arrogant-he's protective, loyal, and kinder than she thought-and she finally falls in love with him.
"Treat my wound" he said, laying down on the cold floor of the maid's room in his mansion.
"B...but it's too deep. I can't... you need to go to the hospital, sir" the maid replied, her lips trembling, tears pooling in her eyes.
"Do it" he said calmly, no trace of pain on his face as he turned his back toward her, his skin carved with wounds.
With shaking hands, she stepped closer, the first-aid kit clutched tightly. Tears slid down her cheeks as she began treating him.
He lay there on the floor, careless of dignity, of blood, of the world, his eyes fixed on her. And in them lived something forbidden... something powerful enough to destroy everything.
He asked her to treat his wounds. But what he truly wanted... was for her to heal him.
And she...she was forbidden to even think of him. Forget healing him.
What will happen when a sinister mafia becomes obsessed with his maid? Will a soft, pure-hearted girl fall in love with the man the world fears to even look at?
Read the story to find out what destiny has planned for them.
