Humans and faes used to live together in harmony, until a catastrophic event commonly known as The Great War. It was filled with horrible and bloody fighting, and ended with the humans being pushed back into a clearing within The Dark Forest by a fae warrior who didn't want to see them wiped out.
Enya is the daughter of a fisherman in one of the human towns alongside the River Julian, and in preparation for her town's autumn festival, she heads out into The Dark Forest to bring back her festival tribute.
Sadly for her, she accidentally wanders into fae territory and gets herself involved in something much bigger than just her, than just the humans. If Enya is unable to get to the bottom of the mysteries laid before her, she will never be able to live normally again.
