Some monsters roam the Earth. For centuries, humans have hunted them and claimed their heads as trophies. These monsters were seen as evil. But now in the modern age, they're no longer hunted. They're hidden instead.

Mira Rivers is an eccentric young lady of Moonglow, New Hampshire. When she stumbles across one of the local monsters in a cave, she knows she's going to die.

But, she doesn't. The monster lets her live. After this, he watches her silently for weeks on end, growing obsessed with her life. He aches for Mira and wants her to himself.
