Five students. One library. And a monster that hasn't been seen in centuries.

At Trinity High, the social lines are drawn in stone. Leenema is the "perfect" Elven princess; Levi is the Vexling rebel with a reputation to burn ; and Hurk is the Orc MVP with a heart far too big for his own good. Along with a shy feline artist and a warlock who talks to his broomstick, they're the last people you'd expect to save the world.

But when a standard detention leads to the discovery of an ancient orb and a wave of homicidal mimics, the status quo is the first thing to die. Now, they aren't just serving time-they're the only ones standing between their home and a cosmic deity of destruction.

The Detention Club is an original ensemble story based on a real Dungeons & Dragons campaign I ran for a couple of years. It takes place in a lore-rich world I have been developing for almost 10 years. If you like found family and gut-wrenching character-driven stories, then maybe this club is just for you.
