PROKSVINVILLE: The First Hero follows Elias, a 36-year-old survivalist who has spent twelve years turning his heart into a piece of flint. He lives by a simple, brutal code: Don't get involved, and don't look back. He's a resident of Proksvinville, a jagged fortress built out of rusted shipping containers and desperation, where the only thing cheaper than life is the truth.

Everything changes when Elias is out scouting the "Dead Zones" and finds a "Ghost" in his traps. He expects a Hunter scout-a cannibalistic savage meant to be put down like a dog. Instead, he finds Kian, a 15-year-old girl with sharp brown eyes and a mouth that could make a sailor blush.
