This is a poem based on innocence being revoked and having to discover life through a different perspective. The baby ant here represents that innocence, and as she's going through life she discovers that she is forced into the reality and truth of the world. She's experiencing trauma and betrayal, having to live through it with no one to help her get through it. The moon can be left up to interpretation. The reason for this is that we I believe we all have our own experiences that lead us towards recognizing that we must grow from our false pretenses of life. So whether the moon for you is an old friend that you had a fall out with, or something more internal like spiritual demons, please feel free to envision the moon however you wish.
