The word rang through my mind. I wasn't ready.
I turned around and looked back. And my heart ached all the more.
When I turned away, Puck was still waiting.
"If you had not looked back," He said.
"It would have been easier."
Five years have passed since Puck walked away into the night, taking Lisa's heart with him. And he left a hole in the wall that kept her social anxiety at bay. Lisa's sister Alexandra has fallen into a wonderful relationship with James Munteanu, and is encouraging Lisa to give up on Puck and find another man. She refuses. Even with the handsome Riordan's hapless attempts to romanticize her. Then everything changes when Puck suddenly returns. And with disturbing news. Lisa is no longer safe in her own world. So Puck must escort Lisa to the portal to the Fae Realm with a team of bodyguards. Lisa is now under the protection of the Sidhe. But the journey is long. And Faeries are not easy travel companions. And the Unseelie Prince Zerophonus trails Lisa's every move...
Meanwhile, Lisa's sister Alex is too stubborn to give up easily. And she will literally go to the ends of the earth to find her little sister.
