but, savannah has its own kind of spotlight. under neon stadium lights and roaring crowds, bronson "bronny" balholm, the charismatic catcher for the party animals, the savannah bananas' rival show-stopping team turns baseball into a spectacle. he dances between innings, makes impossible plays behind the plate, and somehow still finds her in the crowd every single night.

their worlds couldn't be more different as hers is built on discipline, critical care, trauma alerts, and quiet strength; his is built on entertainment, energy, and controlled chaos but they understand each other in ways no one else can.

when payton isn't saving lives, she's in the stands with her best friends, lizzie and emily screaming herself hoarse, wearing his number, and remembering what it feels like to be part of the game again. but loving someone who lives in the spotlight comes with its own pressure.
