Once upon a time humans found the forest's secret. Elven folk. The Elves held treasures never before seen by humans. Humans, ever the greedy, declared war on the elven folk. A war that plagued the earth for 3 decades until the human king met his end. The king left a broken world behind for his heir to fix. The heir being his youngest son, Damian Romanoff Bravuso. General Shunsei Ja Jeong was worried about his position as general. The new king might want to replace him. Or so he thought. Little did he know the king had a crush on him since they were kids and would do anything to steal his heart. But how will the people react when homosexuality has been forbidden for so long? Is the king really the miracle his father made him out to be? Is the war over or are dark plans being laid in the shadows to kill the king of the kingdom that's plagued the forest for so long? INFO: This is a story meant for the Open Novella contest. New chapters might not be uploaded for a long time if I don't make it far in the competition since I'm also working on another project. Seraphina Calloway always believed she would recognize betrayal if it ever came near her marriage. She imagined it loud. Obvious. Unforgivable. She never imagined it would look like this. Like her husband smiling at another woman the way he used to smile at her. Like late-night messages that weren't inappropriate - just intimate. Like emotional comfort slowly being outsourced. And she definitely never imagined standing outside a glass office in downtown Los Angeles... Watching her husband hesitate before pulling away from another woman's lips. The kiss wasn't hungry. It wasn't desperate. It was worse. It was familiar. And in that single second - She realized she had already been replaced emotionally long before that moment happened. She didn't scream. She didn't storm in. She simply turned... And walked away from the life she thought was unbreakable.
