1834, Liverpool. The Industrial Revolution deepens the gap between the rich and the poor. Jack, a young boy from the working class, is sold by his parents to a wealthy family. As a servant, he is being confronted with the harsh reality and brutality of the upper class. Amidst the pain and social injustice he has to endure, Jack finds hope in his friendship with a slave girl, Imala. Together, they plan an escape, hoping to sail towards a better life. Their journey to freedom is filled with obstacles and challenges. They endure the tyranny of the family's sadistic son, who mirrors the cruelty of his father. But there is also Eleanor, the sheltered daughter of the family, cut off from the outside world. She proves the naivety of the wealthy and reveals that even they live under the force of the powerful.

Her last wish to the gods was simple: "I just want a family. I just want to be loved." Fate listens, but in a way she never expected. She wakes up in the golden palace of Panchala, reborn as the younger sister to the legendary Princess Draupadi. In this world of warriors, gods, and ancient laws, she is no longer a shadow. She is a princess.
