You and Nick have always worked best side by side. Years ago, you shared one night you never spoke of again. Not because it meant nothing, but because it meant too much. Since then, you've remained what you've always been: partners. Equals. Close enough to blur lines, but stubborn enough to keep feelings buried. Now, as the events of The Lost World unfold and Isla Sorna pulls you into chaos, the past refuses to stay quiet. Dinosaurs may be the danger everyone sees. But some risks are quieter, and far more personal. A Nick van Owen x Reader slow burn woven into canon, about history, restraint, and finally choosing to finish what was once left unfinished.

Vanora felt weak as she laid on the ground, a piercing migraine in the back of her eye throbbing to her rapid heartbeat. As she stood up to orient herself, she had a hard time adjusting her eyes to the sunlight above her. The ocean was calming, and she closed her eyes to listen closer to the shushing of the waves, and smell the salt in the air. Regaining her strength, she opened her eyes once more. The land was unfamiliar, rocky shores and lush grasses weren't anything she was used to. Where was she? As she looked around, she noticed a large crash site very close by. She stood up, breathlessly looking over the ship. "You seem far from home." {#1 in ASTARION: 9/18/23} {#1 in BG3: 9/18/23}
