Nobody's Hero

Vincent is just your average metalhead. He spends his time playing riffs on his guitar, singing along to the lyrics and rattling his head off. Until one day, a vengeful entity shows up at his door, out of the blue, to drag him into a world that's completely and utterly black. After the initial shock subsides, Vic is quick to ask for our protagonist's assistance on his personal mission. This time, it's not about selling peace, playing with red buttons and pods or taking down corrupt politicians. The two of them have to take down a multidimensional evil that threatens not just their world but all the timelines. An ancient evil that has been watching humanity from the shadows for ages, guiding it under fake names of false gods. Now, as it watches humanity slowly slipping away from its iron grip, the time has come for Evil to establish its total control.

Follow the story of Vincent and Vic, through a mind bending legend of jumping from timeline to timeline, to save the different versions of Vic from the evil's grasp and recruit them for a one, big, final confrontation that will define the cosmos.

As for why a spirit of vengeance requires our protagonist's help? That is a matter of mystery that only the credits can solve 😉💀🤟🏻

Nobody's Hero is a story I've written for Wattpad's Open Novela Contest 2026. It's a fanfiction story I've written about the mascot of my favourite band ever, Megadeth. I chose the prompt #9 ("There's a knock on your door, and when you open it , your favourite animated character is standing there"). Since I'd like to consider myself as one of the biggest Megadeth Droogies, writing a story about Vic Rattlehead is not just something fun to do but an honour.The story is inspired by the various videoclips we see Vic Rattlehead featured in.
