Beyond the fragments

Long ago, the world was said to be whole.
Then something shattered.
No one remembers what it was — a god, a law, or reality itself — but what remains are fragments. Pieces of something greater. Pieces that humans were never meant to touch.
Those fragments became known as Axioms.
Axiom Wielders can bend small portions of the world’s laws — heat, force, motion, decay. But the more they use them, the more unstable they become. Some burn from within. Some lose their minds. Some collapse into monsters shaped by their own broken power.
Across fractured kingdoms and warring guild territories, Axiom users fight for influence, relics, and survival. Power decides status. Stability decides lifespan.
And then there is Kael.
When he was five years old, a guild slaughtered his parents in front of him, searching for a rare Axiom awakening. They left him alive by accident.
That mistake reshaped history.
Taken and trained for ten brutal years by a mysterious master, Kael did not grow into a gifted wielder.
He became something else.
He does not command a fragment.
He is not bound by a single law.
Where others risk losing control, Kael remains untouched — calm, observant, almost detached from the world around him.
As kingdoms clash and Axiom users push themselves toward collapse, whispers begin to spread:
There is someone who stands outside the laws.
Someone who cannot fracture.
Someone who exists beyond the fragments.
And when the world built on broken laws realizes it has created something it cannot contain—
It may already be too late.
