Prologue

The mistake was never the real problem.
It was bitter, yes - but it only grew dangerous when she buried it in silence.

Who ran barefoot across the garden just to feel alive.
Who filled notebooks with romantic poems about rain and roses.
Daughter of the second richest family in the United Kingdom, she had everything - luxury, popularity, admiration.
In Grade 11, she was known as the prettiest girl in school.
But beauty can hide bruised petals.
Then suddenly... everything changed.
She stopped coming downstairs for breakfast.
Her laughter disappeared from the hallways.
The notebooks remained closed.
If someone brushed against her arm, she flinched.
If a male bodyguard stood too close, her breathing shifted.
She asked her parents to replace them with women.
She said she just "preferred it."
