On the last day of junior year in Lee County, Texas, seventeen-year-old Sophia Jameson should be celebrating summer, but instead she's stuck between everything she's been and everything she's supposed to become. With college brochures piling up on her desk and no clue what she wants after graduation, Sophia feels like she's the only one without a plan, and unfortunately, all her friends know it. What they don't know is that she's had a crush on her best friend, Benny O'Donnell, since fifth grade. As senior year looms closer and the future threatens to pull them in different directions, Sophia has to decide if she's brave enough to risk their lifelong friendship for a chance at something more or if she'll let fear and distance write the ending for her.

This story is a fan interpretation inspired by the upcoming GL series Pls Love starring Lena and Miu. While waiting for their series to begin filming and eventually be released, I wanted to imagine what their story might feel like - to give fans a small taste of the emotions, tension, and romance we might see on screen. This adaptation follows the same general premise and conflicts of the original novel, but it is written purely from my imagination. The characters keep the names Lena and Miu instead of the original names from the novel. Since I haven't been able to find a full English adaptation or translation of the novel, this story is based only on the summary and a few excerpts I have come across. Because of that, some details may differ from the original novel or the future series. This is simply a fan project created while we all wait for Lena and Miu's next series.
