"What do you think? That I didn't try?" he shouted. "I tried everything - distance, distraction, alcohol, silence, prayers - everything!"
His hands trembled uncontrollably.
"But she dragged me back into this madness! Every thought, every breath, every heartbeat... it all leads back to her!"
Agastya spoke slowly, cautiously.
"Let go of this obsession... it will destroy you."
Silence fell.
Then Yaaram laughed again - softer this time, emptier, almost peaceful.
"I would have let go," he said quietly, eyes distant.
"If it were only love."
He lifted his gaze, and something terrifying settled inside it - acceptance beyond reason.
"But she became my obsession."
One step forward.
"And obsession does not fade."
Another step.
"It does not heal."
His smile widened - beautiful, broken, terrifying.
"It grows..."
A whisper.
"It consumes..."
His voice lowered further, nearly sacred.
"And in the end..."
A pause.
"Obsession destroys everything around a person... or the person himself."
