Fifteen

Several years ago, Shine's life was turned upside down. She used to be a free girl who would play outside with her neighbors and would go inside when the street lights would turn on. So when her first neighbor disappeared everyone was in shock. When the second, even more shock. When the third suddenly turned up missing, everyone went crazy. People started putting bars on their windows or they moved. So what happens on Shine's fifteenth birthday shocks everyone when her mom wakes up to find the bars on her daughters window mangled and her bed empty.
