GOLDEN HOUR - hyunlix

In the Summer of 2016, Hyunjin loved a boy who painted sunlight like it could be bottled.

They were sixteen-all library tales and shared headphones, cardigan sleeves pulled tight over restless hands and promises made softly so they wouldn't break. Felix always said he was going to leave one day. Hyunjin always pretended he wouldn't.

Years later, Felix returns home as an artist the world finally sees-galleries, interviews, his name printed in gold along museum walls. The centrepiece of his newest exhibition is a piece titled 'Summer, 2016'.

It's of a boy in an oversized cardigan, standing in the July light.

Hyunjin doesn't need to read the placard to know it's him.

As the golden hour stretches thin over their home town once again, they're forced to confront the question they spent their lives hiding from;

Was their love just a season? or was it the light they were meant to grow into?
