Mabel Carter & Theo Reed are forced to work together to solve a series of murders linked to a puzzle. Mabel is transferred to a new department after running over a victim's dog. She claims it wasn't her fault. There, she meets Theo Reed and his team in the major crime department.
Things are a little sticky at first, but as more murders occur, they begin to warm up to one another.
