Marsh Luna Suhee is quiet, observant, and exceptionally intelligent, the kind of girl who blends into the background by choice. Born to an American father and a Korean mother, she grew up in a home where love was often overshadowed by constant arguments. From a young age, she witnessed how fragile relationships could be, and the instability of her parents' marriage shaped her more than she ever admitted.
After fifth grade, her life became a series of departures.
Grade 6 in Busan.
Grade 8 in the United States after skipping a year.
And now Grade 9 in Seoul.
With every move, building friendships became harder. Adjusting to new environments felt exhausting. So Suhee stopped trying. Keeping her distance was easier than starting over.
Everything changes when she meets Kang Yeonhu, the class monitor of her new school. Known for his bright personality and natural charm, Yeonhu lives up to the meaning of his name, "eternal brightness." He is warm, social, and effortlessly draws people in. He is the complete opposite of Suhee.
For reasons she cannot understand, Yeonhu constantly finds excuses to talk to her. His persistence irritates her at first. She wishes he would simply stop speaking to her without any reason.
But perhaps there is a reason.
As two completely different worlds collide, Suhee begins to question the walls she has built around herself. And Yeonhu slowly discovers that even the quietest hearts carry the deepest stories.
