The Music Club has grown up and they're all living their lives. They all still talk and each live with their own problems. There's just one thing: Jake, Luke, Sean, and Milly are superheroes. With powers bestowed upon them from the past heroes and a wise mentor, who tries to lead them to make good choices, they save the city a lot. Only thing is that they can't tell anyone and that also includes Hailey, Zander, and JJ.

Meanwhile, JJ Sterling is the mother to her daughter, Reverie, and the lover (and wife) of Ryker Temple. Reverie is a 13 year old girl with a bright, slightly introvert look on the world. Before the start of 8th grade, her "uncle" Zander is accused of kidnapping his own step-sister, Hailey Sterling, and assaulting his own niece, Jaylee Autumn Sterling. Reverie firmly refuses to believe that "uncle" Zander would do such a thing while the world believes otherwise.

Time passes to the summer before Freshman year. She gets mixed in a conspiracy that includes controlling the world. When a prophecy, new guy friend from 8th grade, and her best friends get forced in too, Reverie needs to fight off the evil and make the world see how it has become: disconnected, not much empathy, and prioritizing money over people. As Reverie makes her way to the heart of who is behind it all, clues all point to a certain person. Someone shocking. Someone they never knew was capable of turning evil.
