Clover James has spent every summer she could remember in Clover Bay, a small, upper class, beach town she just so happens to share a name with. For the first time, Clover isn't searching for adventure, love, and relaxation this summer, she has only one goal: scrounge every last penny she can to pay off the remainder of her college tuition. When an important job offer falls through, Clover is left panicking and thousands of dollars short of her goal. The last thing she expects is a solution from elusive local quarterback, Lucas Holt, who's spent every summer she could remember virtually ignoring her existence. As they enter a partnership to relieve both of their financial burdens, an instant spark of friendship threatens to lean into something much more.
