Bubbles up

Ever since the 6th grade, rivals Kale'a and Brody of Anna Maria Island in Florida have been rotating on and off of who won the annual surf competition every summer. Now it's their senior year and the most important competition of their careers. Kale'a has been training all school year for this very moment with her father who owns the small town surf shop. On the day of the competition, a dangerous storm causes waves to reach never seen before heights and wipe out competitors. When Brody and Kale'a get distracted and fall off their boards, the bubbles drag them down below. When they emerge, the year is no longer 2026, but 1999. Their parent's senior year. Them being in this timeline too early causes disaster to strike the island. What happens when they end up in the wrong timeline before they were even born?
