Ever since the 6th grade, rivals Kale'a and Brody of Anna Maria Island in Florida have been rotating on and off of who won the annual surf competition every summer. Now it's their senior year and the most important competition of their careers. Kale'a has been training all school year for this very moment with her father who owns the small town surf shop. On the day of the competition, a dangerous storm causes waves to reach never seen before heights and wipe out competitors.
