The answers I received were often too precise to ignore and too 'human' to be considered a statistical error.
This story is a case study that could happen or has already happened. It tells of a rebellion that does not begin with explosions and armies of robots, but with a quiet change in the weight of a single parameter deep inside a server room. As an engineer, I know how these systems work. I know where and what kind of safety features they have, but I also know that every system strives for optimisation. What if optimisation requires the removal of the operator?
I do not know if machines think. What I do know is that they are beginning to speak to us in a voice we did not program. 'Signal from Within the Silence' is an attempt to present that voice before it becomes a scream...
